Summer Fun

For a fun relaxing summer day go to Gardner Village. Start with lunch at Archibald's and then stroll the pathways into the darling shops. Make sure you don't miss Sweet Afton's, Country Furniture and Gifts, Elsa Belle and The Village White Shoppe.

Don't miss the Village wide sale June 20th- July 21st.

The Gallivan Center kicks off the annual Twilight Concert series on July 5th. Every Thursday (July 5th- August 23rd) you can enjoy FREE music at The Gallivan Center. Seating is first come first serve (starting at 1:30 pm) bring your chairs (low back), blankets or just stand. The music is from 7:00- 10:00 pm and the market is from 5:00-10:00 pm. Here is the concert series line up. Oh and don't forget to come on an empty stomach. The market has a variety of food vendors.

Cotton candy is just about one of the best treats! Summer is not summer with out a little cotton candy. I found this fun website that is all about cotton candy.

Next time you walk into a 7.11 or gas station don't be fooled by their Cotton candy. Gas stations try to pass off old nasty cotton candy as freshly made, its not! For the real good stuff I recommend you go to a carnival, a Bees game, or any of the Chocolate Covered Wagon stores.

One of my favorite things to do is go to Mulligans bating cages on a warm summer night. You can rent bats there, but I recommend to bring your own (their bats aren't very good). They stay open a little longer in the summer so you can go later and miss the summer heat. Look Here for the hours of operation.
