The LIttle Book of Skin Care

I recently read a book about skin care that I loved, The Little Book of Skin Care. I know that probably sounds weird but really this book is packed full of really great information to help one achieve their best skin. The book is focused on Korean beauty secrets for healthy skin. It is a must read!

Author Charlotte Cho also has a great blog and website, SoKo Glam. It is full of great advice and Korean skin care.

I have been trying some of the products from SoKo Glam and have to tell you about one in particular. The Lioele Waterdrop Sleeping Pack has quickly become one of my favorite products. It is a super hydrating mask to wear while you sleep. It is a light weight gel that you smooth on your face after cleansing. You can literally see little water droplets on your skin right away. Living in Utah my skin gets so dehydrated (lacking water not oil) and it can be hard to find good products that help my skin retain water and moisture. The Lioele Sleeping Pack left my skin feeling soft and hydrated in the morning. Did I mention it is only $16?

You can receive $10 off your order by clicking here.

Baby Must Haves 0-5 Months

1) Diaper Genie- I am so glad I have this, especially with two babies! The Diaper Genie keeps the girls room from smelling of stinky diapers and I don't have to make as many trips to the garbage.
2) We love the Bumbo seat! The girls do too, they love being able to sit up and see things from a different view.
3) Aden + Anais blankets are the perfect weight for these hot summer days.
4) Boon Grass Drying Rack
5) My favorite onesies are by far Carter's! They are soft, durable and can usually be found on sale.
6) I love Johnson's Baby Cream. It's much thicker than the regular lotion and keeps babies skin super soft.

What are some of your favorite baby items?

Summer Beauty Must Haves

Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/

Now that summer is here we are spending a lot of time outdoors. Which means we are loading up on sunscreen, it's the one thing I make sure to wear everyday. I never forget it. Sunscreen should be part of everyone's beauty routine every day. Do you wear sunscreen daily?
I really like Olay Complete for an every day sunscreen and moisturizer. Of course if I am planning on spending more time outside or at the swimming pool I reach for something with more sun protection. My sunscreen protection can vary but I always make sure Brody has on 50 SPF like Banana Boat Kids Broad Spectrum Sunblock

I am also a big fan of sunscreen sticks. It's easy to carry in my purse and I can reapply to Brody's cheeks and nose really fast. He doesn't like stopping his fun to put on sunscreen so I have to be able to apply it quickly and sunscreen sticks do the trick.

I can be prone to dry lips so I like to keep something on hand for that. Softlips Lip Protectant is great because it has a 20 SPF. If you get cold sores it's important to have SPF in your chapstick to help prevent getting cold sores.
Summer also means taking care of my feet and making sure my toes are painted. I love giving myself little pedicures. Here are some of my favorite nail care products.
1) Cuticle nippers these are perfect for clipping those nasty hangnails.
2) Nail polish I love Essie nail polish, it's one of my favorite brands.
3) Nail buffer next time you paint your nails try buffing your nails first (just use the first 2 sides) it will help them look smooth and free of ridges.
4) Nail clippers
5) Manicure sticks also known as an orange stick or cuticle pusher.
6) Emery boards I like to keep an emery board on hand, it keeps me from biting my nails.

Well, there you have some of my summer beauty must haves.

What are your summer beauty must haves?

Dianna's Must Haves

1) Glue Dots
These can be used for everyday use and all kinds of crafts. They are so easy to use.

2) Oxi Clean
This laundry spray helped me get out old yellow stains from some of the little suits Brody wears to church. They were my brother's from over 30 years ago and Oxi Clean helped make them look new again. Oxi Clean has also helped me get out tough food stains on Brody's clothes.

3) Toy Story Big Boy Underwear
Now that Brody is potty trained he is very particular about what underwear he will wear. He almost always will only wear Woody or Rex big boys.

Do you use any of my must haves?

Dianna's Must Haves

1) Mr. Clean Magic Erasers
Magic Erasers are my go to cleaning product.  They are great for everyday cleaning but they also work wonders on hard to clean areas. They even take crayon off walls.

2) Intaglio Facial Body Cleanser
I discovered  Intaglio Facial Body Cleanser about seven years ago when I was studying to become an esthetician. I was having a hard time finding a good every day cleansing product that I loved. It works great on all skin types and contains glycolic to help keep your skin looking its best.

3) Cuticle Clippers
perfect for trimming hang nails and dead cuticles. You can find them at most grocery stores on the beauty aisle.

Have you tried any of my must haves?

Dianna's Must Haves

When I first started my blog years ago I had a little series, Dianna's Must Haves.
I decided it is time to bring it back.
Some things might be repeats but oh well, I posted them so long ago.

1) Label Maker
I love my label maker! It seriously makes life easier.
I like to label everything including my shoes.

2) Tweezerman tweezers
Have you ever tried tweezing your eyebrows with cheap tweezers? It sucks!
Tweezerman slanted tweezers have a strong grip, so it will pull the hair out every time.

3) The Pampered Chef Micro-Cooker
I am not usually a kitchen gadget sort of person but the pampered Chef Micro-Cooker is one of the greatest things! The Micro-Cooker is designed for  microwave cooking. The lid is vented and doubles as a strainer. It makes cooking so much faster and easier. I especially like to use it for Top Ramen or mac n cheese when I need a quick little meal. It also is perfect for melting chocolate.

Baby Must Haves

Johnson's Baby Cream is one of my favorite baby lotions. It is rich and creamy and smells delicious. If you like regular baby lotion but want something more moisturizing this is the lotion for you.

I highly recommend Johnson's Safety Swabs, they are designed to clean little ears safely.

Dianna's Must Haves

Squeezy Lip Smackers.
It's basically lip gloss with out the stickiness plus it tastes delicious.
Watermelon is my favorite flavor.

Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo is a new favorite of mine. I love how moisturizing it is, it always makes my hair feel super soft.

I have freakishly weak nails, that's why I love Sally Hansen Maximum Growth nail polish. It's a daily nail care program to help harden your nails.
I even like to use it as my base coat when I paint my nails, it really helps my manicure last longer.

Baby Must Haves

If your baby has diaper rash make sure to pick up some Butt Paste. Butt Paste is a fast acting diaper rash ointment. Unlike other ointments out there, Butt Paste wipes off easily. Get a free sample here.

Mustela cradle cap shampoo is a must for any baby with cradle cap. It is super easy to use and works very quickly! I like that it is a foam so it wont run into your baby's eyes.

Dianna's Must See Musicals

My cousin Brandy made a list of her favorite musicals. I wanted to play too!
Here is my list of must see musicals.
This is my all time favorite musical! I wanted to be a stripper when I was little because of this movie. I thought Natalie Wood was so glamorous! Maybe it was the glittery outfits.

After watching this show you will want to dance every time you get in an elevator.

You can't go wrong with Judy Garland! Her voice is amazing. I always loved the little sister Tootie.

One of the best Christmas movies. I love everything about this musical. The costumes, the music, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, etc...

Fun, fun, fun! This movie is plain old fun! Plus you can't beat Louis Armstrong singing Hello Dolly!

I love Debbie Reynolds Innocent character in this movie and who knew Leslie Nielsen could be a serious actor?

Another great Debbie Reynolds musical! Every time I watch this show I find myself singing all the songs for days.

What are your favorite musicals?

Dianna's Must Haves

I haven't done a list of Dianna's must haves for a long time, but I had to add William Sonoma's peppermint bark to the list. No other brand will do!

Dianna's must haves Games Edition

I am a game girl so here are some more must have games.

Phase 10
The challenge is to be the first to complete 10 phases. The twist is that the phase to be completed is specific for each hand. Those that complete the phase advance to the next, but those that have not must try again. Designed for two to six players.

Skip-Bo
A game where each player is dealt a stockpile of cards and then attempts to win by playing all these cards on building piles in numerical sequence 1 through 12.

Sequence
Play a card from your hand, place a chip on a corresponding space on the game board, and when you have 5 in a row, it's a Sequence. Learn to block your opponents and remove their chips. Watch out for the Jacks - they're wild! With a little strategy and a little luck, you'll be the winner.

Dianna's must haves Christmas Cds

Okay here is my list of must have Christmas Cd's.
Merry Christmas strait to you is my all time favorite holiday Cd!

You cant forget about the classic White Christmas
This just might rival George Strait for my favorite Christmas Cd! Christmas just isn't Christmas with out hearing Nat King Cole The Christmas Song!

Okay I really only like one song from this Cd, but I had to add it to the list.
All I want for Christmas is such a fun song! I love it when the little girl sings it in Love Actually!

Dianna's must haves

Artec Kiwi shampoo is one of my all time favorite shampoos! Not only does it smell so good, it adds moisture and shine to your hair.

If I had to choose the best black nail polish, I would go with Chanel Le Vernis black satin.
Chanel is more expensive than most nail polish out there, but it is GREAT nail polish! It really does stay on better than most brands.

I just tried Essie quick-e for the first time this weekend. My nails dried almost instantly! I love this stuff.

June Jacobs Mandarin Moisture Masque is a great way to freshen up your skin. My skin has been dry all summer long and nothing has seemed to help until I used this miracle mask.

Dianna's must haves

Dianna's Dental must haves, can you tell I just went to the dentist? I had a perfect check up ( that's like 5 years in a row)

People think white teeth are hard to get, but really its quite simple. Crest Whitestrips are the way to white teeth.

Looking for a whitening tooth paste that leaves your mouth minty fresh? Crest Whitening with Scope is the paste of choice! This is hands down my favorite toothpaste.

My teeth are very tight and close together, so I have a hard time flossing my teeth. I love Crest Glide floss, not only is it easy to use, but it leaves a cool mint flavor in your mouth

I never realized this before, but I think I might just be a Crest girl!

Dianna's Must haves

I have rekindled my love affair with the Pilot precise V7 rolling ball pen! Every once in awhile I get a wandering eye and start trying out gel pens, they have such good looking colors. Every time I end up disappointed and frankly I regret straying from my faithful Pilot pen! My good old pilot never lets me down, Pilot always works hard to give me everything I could ever want in a pen!

I was first introduced to this lovely Extractor when I first started my aesthetics training. For those of you that are pickers ( most women I know) pick up the Double-Ended Blemish Extractor from Sephora, you won't be disappointed. This will save you from those lovely embarrassing red marks from picking too much!

Push up bras, in my opinion are one of the greatest inventions ever. Who doesn't want great cleavage? Good cleavage is one of my best assets! Ok seriously this Victoria's Secret rounded push up bra is great! I just bought one and I love it. It is lightly lined, meaning no added attention when it gets cold, It has great support, it washes up nicely, its lacy and pretty. Go buy one, its worth every cent!

I haven't had to use Dryel much since I quit Talbot's 2 years ago. I don't really have many clothes that require dry cleaning, but for those that do Dryel is a must! You simply throw your dry cleaning in a Dryel bag with the Dryel cloth in your dryer and a half an hour later you have dry cleaned your clothes. I do recommend to do real (professional) dry cleaning every once in a while for a deeper cleaning though.

Dianna's Must haves

I rarely wear makeup, but when I do I ALWAYS wear Lancome's Ombre Perfecteur. This little gem helps your eye shadow stay on longer and keeps those ugly creases away. If you don't own this, go and buy it now!

I don't know how I ever went running with out my Ipod shuffle.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is heaven sent! Have you ever tried to clean crayon off your walls? have you ever tried to clean the outside of your refrigerator? How about paint smudges on your car?
Magic Erasers can do all that and more! These little sponges are easy to use, get it wet and wipe.

Tiger Balm puts Icy Hot to shame! When you have sore muscles you NEED Tiger Balm. My sister Julie introduced TB to me a few years ago, it helped relieve my sore muscles better then Icy Hot or ibuprofen! Thanks Julie!
