Evening Routine

Here is a little look at our evening routine.

Of course it will change a bit but for the most part this is what our nights look like.

5:00-6:00

Cook dinner

Finish up anything left over on to do list

6:00-6:30

Travis comes home from work

Eat dinner

Trav plays with Brody while I clean up dinner

7:00-7:30

More play time for Brody and daddy

Shower Brody

Get Brody ready for bed

Read Brody a book

8:00

Family prayer

Bed time for Brody

8:00- 8:30

Chat with Travis and catch up on each others day

8:30-

Cuddle up on the couch with Travis for a movie (lately it’s been a few episodes of House)

10:00-10:30

Get ready for bed

Read a few chapters in my latest book before falling asleep

What is your evening routine like?

  1. I wish my evening routine was like that, and ran smoothly!

5:00-6:00- let the kids play outside, while I figure out what I'm making for dinner...cereal again, or a hot meal?

6:00-6:30- eat whatever it was I came up with for dinner, more then likely, pouring milk on the cereal.

    6:30-7:00- clean up from dinner

7:00-?- give all my 4 chickens a bath, read them a book, put them to bed all by myself since my husband is deployed to Afghan....

?-1am- stay awake with my eyes burning, and play around on the computer. Who wants to go to bed knowing that you can't lay with the love of your life:( NOT ME!

Can you tell I'm having a bad morning!

  2. Hello Dee Dee,
It's so nice to meet you! Thank you very much for stopping by and your kind words. You are always welcome anytime.

Our evenings have consisted of workouts. A nice power walk or using our Bowflex machine. I've recently lost 45 pounds. Woohoo!

    Have a blessed day. ~Melissa :)

  3. How funny. Ours is almost EXACTLY like that, except my husband cooks dinner while I teach piano.

And Daddy gives Lydia a bath so I can practice piano.

  6. Ours looks pretty much the same except the hubs usually goes to bed around 11 and me around 1 if I'm lucky. Lovely insomnia. Ah ha ha. Happy Friday!
