White Vinegar

There are so many uses for white distilled vinegar that I want to share with you. I think I will spread these tips throughout a few posts. Some of these tips you may already know and use but hopefully some will be new.

-Make nail polish last longer by wiping fingernails with a cotton ball that has been dipped in white distilled vinegar before painting nails.

-Clean sticky scissors with a cloth that has been dipped in white distilled vinegar.

-Deodorize the garbage disposal by pouring 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup hot white distilled vinegar into disposal. Let sit for 5 minutes. Run disposal with hot water.

  3. I can't live without vinegar! I pour it into my dishwasher on the rinse cycle and in with each batch of laundry to lesson the mineral-ness of our hard, hard water.

  8. Remember: Oil and Vinegar (when no red vinegar is available)on salads, and instead of mayonnaise in your tuna salad, use white vinegar. That's my fav! If you still like mayo, use a little plus the white vinegar.

Recently I mixed white vinegar, baking soda, and toothpaste and with a hand brush cleaned my car headlights! Yes, rather nice to see those 'windows' clear again.

When on sale, I purchase more than one large white vinegar. One for foods, one for cleaning, and one for laundry.
