Graphic Image has recently re-released The Greatest Gift by Philip Van Doren Stern, the story behind the the classic film It's a Wonderful Life.
Philip Van Doren Stern set out to sell his short novella without a single instance of success. With little hope of anything at all, he printed 200 copies and sent them out as Christmas cards to friends and family in the winter of 1943. A few months later Philip received an offer to buy the movie rights.
