Mr. potato Head

Brody is sick today so no Stylin' Sunday today.

Of course it would be better if you could decorate yourself. Too bad.

Posts of Christmas Past

I just added a link on my side bar with all of my posts of Christmas past. I always think it's fun to look back and see what I was posting about it the past.


If you're looking for a fun idea to count down to Christmas you can use this idea we did a few years ago for Trav's parents. We got 24 gifts together and wrapped them up. Each gift had a tag that had a number 1-24 on it. Each day they got to open 1 present until Christmas. We had a lot of fun putting it together, it kind of makes me want to do it again this year.

Thankful

November 2008

Today I am so tired! I was up in the middle of the night with Brody, the poor boy is teething.
Instead of dreading getting out of bed and wishing him back to sleep, I sat there with him snuggled in my arms and I was grateful. I am so grateful for every moment I get to spend with him and even more grateful for the times he wants me to snuggle him.


The other day while Brody and I were watching Shrek, he was sitting next to me and he kept putting his head on my lap and then he finally just crawled up on my lap and cuddled with me. It made me so happy I started to cry.

I am so thankful for ever moment I get to spend with my Brody boy!

Thanksgiving Traditions

We usually have breakfast with Travis' family and dinner at my parents house.

The Big Red Barn

On the way home from St George we stopped in Santaquin at South Ridge Farm's Big Red Barn. I had never been there before and was excited to check it out.
Rowley's South Ridge Farms has been around since the early 1900's. They have a large assortment of jams, honey, salsa, fresh produce, homemade pie crusts and darling gifts.

They store their produce in a giant cooler to keep the apples crisp and and the produce fresh. The items in the cooler change daily so make sure to stop on by.



Don't forget to stop by the treat counter for some yummy taffy, cookies, ice cream, fudge and other treats.

Brody's Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Brody's birthday. We had a tiny party with Brody's grandparents where they spoiled him with really fun toys. Brody has been loving all of his new toys!

I made things super easy by picking up some cupcakes from So Cupcake. What a time saver! Of course I had to add the little choppers on top because, well Chopper is Brody's middle name.

Brody loved playing with all of the balloons.

He didn't love the party hat.

This last year has been so much fun!

One Year Old

Today is Brody's first birthday! We are very excited around our house.

All week long I have been reminiscing about this day last year and about the anticipation I felt while I was in labor. Those 9 months of pregnancy were nothing compared to the anticipation I felt during those 14+ hours of labor. I couldn't wait to hold my little baby boy!

I have to admit, I still get excited for Brody to wake up from a nap so I can snuggle him.

Brody has brought so much love and joy into my life!

Brody loves his blanket, he gets excited and hugs it when I give it to him.

He is such a little climber.

He loves to clap and give "five".

Brody's new word is mama but he only says it when he cries.

He loves playing outside.

He can't get enough pizza and can eat about two and a half pieces.

When Brody gets excited he raises his hands in the air.

He likes to suck on his bottom lip.

He is finally getting his third tooth.

Happy happy birthday Brody boy!

Slow Cooking

What is your favorite crock pot recipe? I have quite a few favorites but this one is top ten for sure.
I am searching for new crock pot recipes to try out. Please help!

Stuck

This has been stuck in my head for about two weeks now.
I guess that's what happens when you let a 10 year old control the car radio.

Question

I have read a few articles on running shoes, the mileage one can put on a pair of shoes to be exact. Apparently it's different for everybody depending on their shoe, where they run, how they run and even how much they weigh.
So my question is, how often do you buy new running shoes?
