Carnivore Cupcakes

You can call them what you like; carnivore cupcakes, meat cupcakes, bacon cupcakes, bacon wrapped cupcakes, manly cupcakes.
The list goes on.
I personally like carnivore cupcake.

Kelli I and thought up these carnivore cupcakes while at the Cupcake Conference last month. We had been filling our bellies with sweets and wanted something meaty to balance out the sweetness. Thus carnivore cupcakes were born. Mmm meat cupcakes!

Carnivore Cupcakes instructions
Take one strip of bacon and wrap around the inside of a muffin tin as shown.
Fold the remaining end into the bottom of the muffin tin.
Bake at 400 degrees until bacon is slightly crispy.
You may want to place toothpicks (in the shape of an X) in the muffin tin cups to hold your bacon in place.

Take one pound of ground beef and mix with your favorite seasonings.
Roll into small balls and press into a muffin tin.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.

Place meat cupcake inside bacon cup or paper liner.
Frost with mashed potatoes.

Enjoy!

  5. My sons are now just dying to make these. My oldest has become famous for his "heart attack on a bun" burgers with the biggest burger you've ever seen wrapped in a woven mat of bacon strips. You've now inspired him with dreams of another bacon masterpiece.

  13. Oh my gosh I LOVE this!! I myself have been coming up with different 'cupcake' recipes and this one takes the cake! (You know what I mean.)

Sounds so good too! You cant go wrong with bacon anyway. AND its always fun to trick on-lookers because at first glance, it looked sweet and scrumtious...but little did I know!

    Love, love, LOVE it!!
    Thanks for sharing!
