Holidays at Gymboree Giveaway!

I have to say that I am so excited for this Christmas season! I started the holiday decorating early and of course pulled out Christmas pajamas, what is it about holiday clothing and pajamas that I go nuts for? It just adds to the holiday fun I guess. Right now Gymboree has some pretty dang cute holiday collections, perfect for those big happy moments.

One of my family's favorite things is to stay cuddled up in our pajamas and watch holiday movies, read stories and just spend time together. Brody would stay in his pjs all day if I let him, and sometimes I do.

And now that Brody is becoming a little reader he even reads to his sisters and they love it!

These plaid holiday pjs are not only cute but they are super soft and comfy. Your kids will love them!

Feltman Brothers Dresses

Feltman Brothers children's clothing has been a tradition in my family for a long time. I wore Feltman Brothers clothing as a child, Brody wore them and now my girls are wearing them. In fact, Sadie and Samantha even wore some of the dresses I wore as a baby. All four of us wore special Feltman Brothers dresses and romper (for Brody) for our baby blessings.

Feltman Brothers has been making beautiful, hand embroidered clothing since 1916. The quality is amazing! Even looking at the  dresses I wore over 34 years ago they are still in impeccable shape. The classic styles are timeless. I can't wait for my children to pass on to their children, not only their Feltman Brothers clothes but mine as well.

I was so excited when Feltman Brothers sent Samantha and Sadie the white and pink dresses from the Rose Garden Collection to try out!  The detail is so beautiful! The smocking, pin tucks, and hand embroidery is perfect. They are made from high quality fabric and wash up so well. The girls get complements every time they wear their dresses!

I was provided with product to review, although all opinions and love of the company are 100 percent mine!

Summer Clothes at Gymboree

There is something about red, white and blue outfits that scream summer to me, so when I saw these two  cute outfits from Gymboree I had to get them for my girls. I instantly pictured them wearing them at my neighborhood  Independence Day parade.

They are even cuter in person! And I just adore the details of the ruffles bows and even the buttons have a little detailing on them.
Besides loving how the girls look in their new sailor outfits, I love that the clothes are made of high quality fabrics and the onesie is made of really soft cotton. They washed up great too. Whenever I buy something with red I always worry about the color bleeding but with Gymboree I don't have to worry about that.

Check out a few more of the darling sailor style outfits from Gymboree.

I couldn't just get outfits for the girls so I got Brody this Stars and Stripes Swimsuit. He can wear it with a white shirt to the 4th of July parade and then he will be all ready for the slip n slide after the parade. Brody has worn the swim trunks a few times already and loves them.

Spring Fling: Color Block Tees

Hi I am Adrienne and I blog over at Free Time Frolics.  I blog about all the things I do in my free time. Sewing, Crafting, Food and Free Printables.  Dee Dee asked me over to share a something fun with you for Spring while she enjoys her beautiful new babies! I jumped at the chance! Today I am going to share a quick and easy Color block T shirt for under $10. Just perfect for your spring wardrobe!

Have you seen the new styles in stores lately? I feel like I am in a flashback.  My 12 year old self on Christmas day wearing my color blocked shirt and acid washed hot pink jeans.  I was so cute.  As I shop for my daughter I see tons of clothing styles and colors I wore back in the day.  I keep seeing color blocking  and Neon everywhere.  Instead of buying all those expensive shirts I decided to make my own.  You can make yourself  2 shirts for under $10.  Here is how you do it.

Spring Fling: Target Pillowcase Skirt Tutorial

target, pillowcase,skirt,spring
Hello My name is Angelina and you can find me blogging over at JoJo and Eloise. Spring is just around the corner and It always puts me in the mood to sew things Light, Fresh and Fun!
With children on Spring Break, Family Vacationing and just simply being on the go we all need something that is going to be quick and easy to put together.
So I thought I would share with you, how you can put those extra pillowcases to use. You know the one's that are piling up in your linen closet, that you will probably never use. Or maybe even those Cute one's you come across at the store and pass up because they don't match any of your bedding at home.
Well, pass them up no longer!!
Because today you are
going to learn how to make something with all those pretty yards of Sheet and Pillowcase fabrics.

For this skirt I used a King size pillow case set that I bought at Target. You could use a Twin, Full, or Queen.
Your going to want to trim off the side seems and the Hemmed opening of the Pillowcase
( using that later for the waistband )

You will have one LONG strip of fabric, once everything is trimmed. Place the right sides of your fabric together and sew along the seem. Finish your edge with a Serged or Zig Zag stitch. Finish the bottom of your skirt with the same and hem. For the top of your skirt you can use a Ruffle Foot or the LONGEST stitch length on your sewing machine to gather the top of your skirt.
( if using the LONGEST length stitch on your machine, you will want to pull on the bottom bobbin thread and gather as you pull. Being careful not to pull the whole bobbin thread out )

For the waistband, you will be using the hemmed edge of the pillow case. Trim off the seems, you will be left with 2 pieces. Take those 2 pieces and put right sides together and sew.

Press your waistband in half and then press the edges over. ( turn over until you have the desired width of your waistband )

Fold one end of your waistband and press. Then slip the other end inside and pin in place.

Take the Top edge of your skirt and pin inside the bottom of your waistband and top stitch.

Remove the pin and run your elastic through your opening.

Sew your elastic together and top stitch your opening closed.

And, there you have it folks. Your very own Pillowcase skirt. Isn't it ADORABLE!! Just think of the endless possibilities you have with all those beautiful pillowcases you have.

This bottom Skirt is made from a Sheet Set that I bought at Target as well. I made a whole dress using a Twin size and I still have loads of fabric left over. The Jacket is made out of a coordinating sheet set.
You can see that project here.
Spring has never looked so Lovely! wouldn't you agree?

Tea Children's Clothing Review

A few weeks ago the children's clothing store, Tea sent me a few things for Brody to try out.
We were so excited to open the package. Brody got to try out the Diez Stripe Jacket, Jaquares de Chipas Tee and some pants.

Brody fell in love with the jacket right away and wanted to wear it imediately.
Not only do I love the look of the clothes, but I love the quality as well.
The pants have reinforced knees and are lined with cotton which makes them look cute when rolled up. Brody has short legs and I usually have to roll his pant legs.

Sometimes I can be skeptical of tee shirts because of the quality, this is NOT the case with the tee shirt Tea sent, the quality is great! Plus it is dang cute.

I love Tea's design philosophy "bringing the world home".
Each season their design team travels to a specific international destination where they immerse themselves into the culture to help inspire that seasons collection. Pretty cool huh?

Tea carries clothing for boys, girls, women and babies.
Stop by Tea and check out all the cute clothes.

Tea Collection provided me with the clothing to review though all opinions are my own.
