5 on Friday

One
Spring training is in full swing and I couldn't be happier, well if MLB showed more of the Cardinals Spring Training games I could be happier. But really I am so excited for baseball season. Go Cards!

Two
I am obsessed with the Tupperware Modular Mates. I have been working on organizing the contents of my kitchen and pantry for awhile now and I cannot put in to words how much I love these containers! They are the best and free up so much space.

Three
With Sammy and Sadie starting preschool this week I have realized how fast time with my little ones is flying by. My girls are not the easiest, in fact they can be down right hard most of the time and taking them out and about is no easy feat, but I have decided that I want to do more with them. Today we ventured out to the zoo and had a great time! Here is to more adventures with my kids!

Four
I am getting ready to revamp my family's 72 hour emergency kits. What do I need in them?

Five
I have the travel bug right now and wish I was planning another trip to Hawaii.

Pantry Organization with Tupperware

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen some of my pantry organization I have been working on. I had been searching for the perfect containers for my pantry for quite awhile with not much luck, until I found the Tupperware Modular Mates. Let me tell you, they are awesome! Not only do they have a life time guarantee but they are stackable so there is plenty of room in my small pantry. They are a high quality product, not like that cheap stuff you find at the grocery store.

Right now the Tupperware Modular Mates are on sale for 40% off! If you are interested you may contact me to order some or you can visit the website here. These deals are only available through January 29th.

I know I will be loading up on more containers!

Project Organize My LIfe: Boot Camp

Remember when I started Project Organize My Life last year? Well it got pushed to the side when I found out I was pregnant with twins and the birth of them pushed it even farther to the back of my mind. I decided it was time to get back to Project Organize My Life.

I decided the best way to get started again was to try out the Buttoned Up Boot Camp. The program is designed to really help you gain control over your life and get organized. Every day there is a new task and steps to help you accomplish them. There are many different levels in the Boot Camp, you can go it alone like I did but if you really need the extra help and accountability Buttoned Up also offers one on one coaching. Check out the program plan here.

http://buttonedupbootcamp.com/I loved not having to think about what I needed to do to get organized, Buttoned Up thought of it all for me and made the plan, all I had to do was log in in each morning and do the task they assigned. Easy.

If you are struggling to get organized or just need a little boost, I suggest trying Buttoned Ups Boot Camp

I was provided with free access to Buttoned Up Boot Camp but all opinions are my own.

Project Organize My Life: Nail Polish

I recently just organized all my nail polish and nail care stuff. It might seem like a small thing but it feels good to get it organized. Baby steps, right?
Here are some tips to help you organize.
- Start by cleaning out and getting rid of old supplies
- Organize like items together
- Keep polish together by colors or brands
- use small containers to separate items like cotton balls, nail clippers, etc.
It also helps to have a great place to store all your supplies.
I ended up buying Snapware from Target.
I love that it has 3 compartments (and I can add more if I need to) plus a handle.
Looking at these pictures you might be able to guess that Essie is one of my favorite brands of nail polish.
What is your favorite nail polish?

How do you organize your nail polish?

Project Organize My Life

Lately I have been feeling overwhelmed by the lack of organization in my life. When my house and stuff feel cluttered or things aren't nicely organized I feel like it seeps into every aspect of my life and I can't think clearly. Am I alone in this? Or did that make me sound a little OCD?

I want to organize my entire life. I want a plan and system for everything so that I can actually live my life. That might sound a little strange but when things are unorganized my whole life feels like a wreck. yeah, I know I can't be 100% organized all the time but it's worth a try.

Here is a list of the things I am going to do for Project Organize My Life

- Organize all of my pictures chronologically
- Get my scrapbooks up to date
- Update "in case I die" file, this includes my will, power of attorney, and all the information Travis would need if I were to die unexpectedly
- Meal plans
- Have date nights planned
- Have an emergency plan
- Budget
- Set up a weekly, monthly, yearly cleaning schedule
- Organize my tax stuff
- De-junk, sell, donate or throw away all the stuff I don't use around my house
- Start a "craft idea" book
- Set up a chore plan for Brody
- Organize Brody's toys
- De-clutter my computer files
- Cleanup Brody's important documents book
- Clean out my closet
- Update my address book
- Organize my email addresses
- Make a calendar for birthdays and important dates

I think that's a pretty good list for me to get started on, don't you think?

The first thing I did to start my path to organization is make this weekly to do list printable.

If you have any tips let me know in the comments.
What part of your life needs the most organization?

Spring Fling: Memory Keeping

Kristina from One Happy Mama

Hi there everyone!
I'm so excited to be a part of this Spring Fling Blog event to kick off the Spring season! Yay for Spring! It's one of my favorite seasons! I just love this time of the year!
Today I'm going to be talking a bit about memory keeping and ways that you can improve your memory keeping by incorporating some Spring cleaning to it all. Who doesn't love to freshen things up a bit and declutter? Well, it's important to remember to do that when it comes to your memory keeping as well. Here are a few things that you can do to freshen up and Spring clean your way through the piles of photos and memory keeping supplies you have:
  • Go through the photos that you've taken and part with the ones you don't REALLY love. I know how hard it is to "let go" of those images that you just aren't sure about, but you feel bad just ditching them. It really does help though when it comes to organizing your photos and when it comes to memory keeping. Having TOO many photographs to choose from or just having TOO many photographs period can be overwhelming and make that memory keeping that much more difficult. Why not simplify your process and before ordering your prints OR printing out your photos as home, go through the ones you've taken and just delete the ones right away that you don't love or any multiples you have of a photo. Then once you've done that - be sure to organize your photos - so have a folder for them or just a place on your computer where you keep them all neat and tidy. It'll make ordering/printing those photos that much easier and if you ever need to go back to find a photo, it'll help at that time, too! I have folders on my computer broken down by year and then months so that I can drop and drag the photos that I use into those folders and keep them organized that way. Oh, and I think I'm do for another photo purge soon! Be sure to back up your photos as well! That is important!
  • Go through all of the memory keeping supplies you have and purge! Whether it's scrapbook paper, cardstock, stickers, buttons, embellishments, etc. taking the time to go through your supplies and weed out what you don't use, have too much of or just don't want will help as well. Even if you just do that every Spring, it'll freshen your memory keeping supplies up and then you can see what you need more of, etc. and add some new little goodies to your stash!
  • Simplify the process. I am all about simplifying things. I think it's important to do because too much clutter, even when it comes to our memory keeping supplies (photos, papers, embellishments, etc) can limit us creativity and also keep us from being productive and getting that memory keeping done. I know a lot of us have busy lives and don't have a lot of time to take photos, journal, scrapbook, etc. I am the same way. That's why I'm SO happy that this year I've jumped on the Project Life bandwagon. If you haven't heard of Project Life you can find out more about it HERE, but trust me - it IS such a life-saver when it comes to my memory keeping. You can make it work for YOU and customize it to fit your lifestyle. I think that is what makes it so great - it's DOABLE and THAT is refreshing. :) I even have a "Project Life Tuesday" that I share on my blog each week. It's a great way to keep myself accountable AND be inspired by so many other creative people who are doing Project Life! So definitely simplify your process and it'll help when it comes to how you do your memory keeping.
  • Don't be hard on yourself. VERY important to remember. Lots of people think they can't start now because it's too late, but that's so not true. Do you think your kids or family will remember WHEN you started? Nope. They'll just remember that you DID start ... at some point. So why not get started now? Spring is a great time for a fresh start, don't you think? Whether it's picking up your camera a couple times a week, jotting down some funny things your kids say or documenting the every day life - it's doable and you CAN do it. So just do it. Don't compare yourself to others and how they document their memories - just get organized, find a way that works for you and your life and do it. Oh, but remember - it's important to live in the moment too and I truly believe that being IN the moment is the best way to keep those memories. They are best kept in the heart first and foremost, don't ya think? ;)
Well, I hope those couple of tips will help you either a) get going when it comes to your memory keeping or b) freshen up and simplify the way you document your memories. With Spring here - most of us want to spend as much time as we can outside enjoying it so don't let your memory keeping overwhelm you. ;)
One last thing ... I wanted to create a little printable to share with you all! You can right click on it and save it to your desktop and then print it out! I think it's a great reminder to us all.You could even include this in an album while your memory keeping! ;)
Thanks so much for reading and I'd love for you to join me over at my blog www.one-happy-mama.com! Thanks Dianna for asking me to be a part of this! Sending you all BIG hugs! Happy Spring! :)

Mail Sorter

I think I need to get this mail sorter for my mom. Every time I look at her pile of mail overflowing in a basket I cringe.
I just love organization!

Organization

I thought this ticket stub diary was a good way to store old ticket stubs. I have always liked to keep my stubs, even if it is from an old movie.

I usually store mine in my journal. I usually just paste a big envelope to the last page in my journal so I can just throw my old stubs in there.

Or sometimes I will paste them on their own page. These are maps and tickets stubs from a trip to Italy.
I also like the way my niece Kelli stores hers. She puts hers in an old photo album. Simple and easy.

Wanting

I am REALLY wanting an office {and craft room} unfortunately our condo is too small. I guess I am lucky to find space for a desk. If I did have an office I just might Design it after this one.
It's cute and very organized.

Buttoned Up

Here are two new books from Buttoned up that I think I need.

Medical.doc would be great for anyone in my family, but I think it would be especially useful for when the baby comes.

Pet.doc would be a great way to store all of Kitty's important information.

Wanted: a pantry

The down side of owning a condo is there isn't room for a pantry. I would kill to have a nicely organized pantry.

I would take this one from The Container Store.

I am also re thinking my laundry room (if you can call it a room) I am sure I could pull off this look if I bought a stackable washer and dryer.
Maybe not the pink.
