A Peek Into My Family

Random tidbits about my family.



Brad- Made homemade stilts for the kids in my family for Christmas one year. Each kid got their own pair and they were hand painted. I wish I still had mine.

Brian- Every time we go on It's a Small World at Disneyland with Brian he makes sure to sing really loud.

Julie- She was the first person I knew to own a colored computer. It was awesome! She had a cool slam dunk game and Wheel of Fortune. Of course the only colors on the computer were orange and neon green.

Jim- Use to work for Frito Lay and would bring us lots of free chips.

Susie- She would tend us younger kids when my parents would go out of town. Her friend Kelly helped too. They would play the sword game with us. It consisted of blindfolding two people, giving them a paper sword made out of news paper and then rearranging the furniture. Then the two people had to find each other through the maze of furniture, the first one to hit the other person with their sword won. Loved that game! I am sure my mom would die if she knew what we did with her precious furniture.

Todd- Let me be in his numerous home videos he made. Maybe not the slam dunk ones. He would put the trampoline on the basketball court and film while he and his friends filmed themselves dunking the basketball.

Laurie- I use to sneak into Laurie's hope chest and read her journal. Sorry Laurie!

Brent- Has a thing for ears, he always rubbing peoples ears. If you stand next to him too long he will inevitably start rubbing your ear lobe.

John- Made some really cool marble bags in elementary school and sold them to lots of kids.

Mary- She use the threaten to wipe off my friend, Jenny Across the Street's (that's what I called her) freckles. She loved her freckles.

Me- I am the baby of the family, the best place to be.

What's For Dinner?

I am really bad about cooking dinner. It seems like I only cook dinner once a week (excluding Brody's dinner). I want to cook more and I think if I plan ahead of time I will be more likely to cook. So, with out further adieu

Tuesday- My super easy slow cooker pot roast

Wednesday- Big cheese potato pie. This is a family favorite!

Thursday- French toast

Friday- Fried pork sandwiches

Saturday- Pork loin

Sunday- Dinner at mom's house

Travis and I seem to eat a lot of meat so I thought I'd mix it up a little by throwing in some breakfast food. Don't you love breakfast for dinner? I do!

After church we went downtown to see one of the Banksy pieces that was put up earlier in the week, or at least what was left of it.



This is what it looked like before it was cleaned up.



Hopefully we will get up to Park City this week to see more.

Brody

I can't believe Brody is fourteen months

Brody loves music and starts dancing when he hears it

He is turning into a picky eater

He can't get enough of his toy cars and books

Every time Brody sees his daddy's soda he wants a taste

Brody is starting to throw little temper tantrums when we tell him no but it is usually him crying, covering his eyes and wanting us to snuggle him

He is quite the copy cat

He loves playing peekaboo and getting chased

He has a fake laugh that cracks me up which makes him do it more

Brody is a fun little boy

Plaid

I am loving these homemade tags shown here.
They would be perfect for my dad, he wears a plaid shirt about six days a week.

Darcy Miller

Did you read about Darcy Miller's exhibit, Family in the February issue of Martha Stewart Living? I really wish I could have been there!
Darcy is the editorial director of Martha Stewart Weddings, she also has a very cool wedding scrapbook for sale (I bought mine a few years ago but it still isn't finished).

Anyways, the party was a display of her scrap boxes, journals, illustrations and other family mementos.

Baby Must Haves
