Annoying Alarm Clocks

Are you like my husband and can't wake up in the mornings? Then you need an annoying alarm clock.
Travis has the highly effective danger bomb alarm clock. To turn the alarm off you have to disable the alarm. Warning: this is VERY loud!

Clocky.
Clocky is probably one of my favorites, it actually rolls off of your nightstand so that you have to chase it down.

Flying alarm clock.

The Flying Alarm Clock wakes you up with a loud shrieking alarm coupled with a little propeller-driven key that leaps off your nightstand. To turn off the horrible racket, you have to get out of bed and retrieve the key.

Or last but not least just have your spouse wake you up. That's what I do do for Travis most mornings.

The Hundreds

I just have to show you some cool hats I bought for Travis. They are from The Hundreds.
The Hundreds is a fairly new line (five years old). Trav got me interested in them a few years back. I love their bomb logo!
The Hundreds have done some really cool collaborations, including a collab with Disney.
Now if they could just start making a kids line!

Baby Must Haves

If your baby has diaper rash make sure to pick up some Butt Paste. Butt Paste is a fast acting diaper rash ointment. Unlike other ointments out there, Butt Paste wipes off easily. Get a free sample here.

Mustela cradle cap shampoo is a must for any baby with cradle cap. It is super easy to use and works very quickly! I like that it is a foam so it wont run into your baby's eyes.

63 Minutes

That is the time I spent on the phone with At&t Wireless trying to fix a problem with my cell phone. In the end I was told it just couldn't be fixed and then I figured out how to fix it. The lady on the phone actually ended the call by saying "I am glad I could resolve your problem". Uh, I think I resolved the problem.

Quiche

I just have to say that I love the quiche Trav makes. It is so delicious

Every time I eat quiche I think of the movie Sixteen Candles. Who know why?

I am just realizing

That the highest compliment someone can give me is when they compliment my husband or baby.

Physical Therapy

This morning was Brody's physical therapy. It went really well!
The physical therapist said that Brody has the mildest case of Torticollis that she has ever seen. We have a few exercises we have to do daily that should fix everything.

The appointment today was basically an evaluation of Brody's limitations. He really didn't have any. He was quite the show off. The physical therapist said he was as advanced as a four month old baby. That's our boy!

Brody Chopper

I can't believe how BIG my baby is! I swear he grows so much every day.
I have been putting away all of his clothes that no longer fit. Its a little sad but on the bright side he is growing into more cute clothes!
Everyday it's something new with Brody. A few weeks ago he discovered his mobile and he loves it!
He is quite a noisy little boy. He is always making some little noise, even in his sleep.
Brody is now consistently getting 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 hours of sleep each night. I am so happy! It has taken a little work to get there (read the book Baby Wise) but it is so Worth it.

Brody use to scream when we changed his diaper, changed his clothes or gave him a bath. He hated to be naked! Now he rarely cries when we do those things and Sometimes he even enjoys his bath.
I love taking pictures of Brody while he is sleeping. He just looks so sweet and peaceful.
One of my favorite things is when he falls asleep in my arms. Sometimes I am quick to put him in his crib when he falls asleep (I have so many things I should get done) but I try to stop and enjoy the moment because I know this time won't last forever.

We made bath fizzies this time. Check out more here.

Organization

I thought this ticket stub diary was a good way to store old ticket stubs. I have always liked to keep my stubs, even if it is from an old movie.

I usually store mine in my journal. I usually just paste a big envelope to the last page in my journal so I can just throw my old stubs in there.

Or sometimes I will paste them on their own page. These are maps and tickets stubs from a trip to Italy.
I also like the way my niece Kelli stores hers. She puts hers in an old photo album. Simple and easy.
How do you store your ticket stubs?

2 Month Check Up

Today was Brody's two month check up. Before his shots we gave him baby Tylenol. He loved it!
He didn't love the shots.

We found out that he has congenital muscular torticollis.
He will have to have physical therapy to fix it. In the rare case that it won't get better, he will have to have a helmet. Trav teases me about the helmet because it is a big fear of mine that he will have to have one.

Brody starts his physical therapy in two weeks. Wish us luck!

Reading List

I recently read The Liars' Club

I am reading The Glass Castle

I am going to read Stiff

2 Months Old

Brody turned 2 months old today!
These past two months have been amazing!
I love watching Brody grow and develop. I love watching his face light up when I talk to him. I love watching the smile spread across his face when Travis plays with him. I love seeing his little dimple when he smiles. I love how he stops crying when I cuddle him. I love his play time in the mornings and how he can't stop smiling.
I love every day that I spend with my sweet baby boy.

Happy New Year!

What is worse then being sick? Taking care of a baby when you are sick. It is a good thing I have a pretty good baby and a really good husband!

Usually we have meat fondue for new years but this being sick thing has pushed that back to today. I cant wait!
We did fry up some beignets on new years eve though. I think I am going to add that to my new years traditions. They are so yummy!
